Amanda & Jared

Jared and Amanda met in August of 2016. Amanda fell in love with Jared soon after they met. Jared knew Amanda was the one after their first date. He went to work the next day and told his coworkers he had met the woman he was going to marry. They are looking forward to spending all day every day with their loves of their life.

The Proposal

Jared told Amanda that he had to go take headshots for work on the blue bridge in downtown Grand Rapids. They already had dinner plans at Ruth’s Chris later that evening, so they were both dressed up. When they got to the blue bridge Jared brought Amanda to the center of the bridge and got down on one knee (Amanda blacks out in big moments like these and she doesn’t remember what he said), but according to Jared he asked her to spend the rest of their lives together and she said yes!

The Day & Design

Jared and Amanda describe their wedding style as classy and clean-cut. Amanda and the bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite at the Union, pausing long enough to take cute group photos in the empty pavilion before the guests showed up. The ladies wore blush pink floor-length gowns, and the groomsmen were in classy bow-ties. Jared and Amanda took time for a photoshoot on the greens around Railside, capturing the early fall colors. Their tables were decorated with greenery and fresh flowers of white and red. When the night was almost over, dessert was served – donuts!
