Claire and Ben planned a trip to Fresno, CA in November to visit their friends, but little did she know Ben had been working with their friends to plan a surprise engagement. Once they arrived, there were perfectly casual ideas to get her nails done, hiking backpacks sneakily packed with champagne, and a ring floating around that Claire could never have guessed. At the end of the trip, they went to Yosemite National Park to go on a picture perfect hike. At the top of the mountain, there was an unbelievable view of the whole valley of Yosemite. Ben asked if Claire wanted to climb off the trail (which Claire protested as there was lots of snow and they had tennis shoes on). But they went adventuring down the side of the mountain and eventually stopped. While standing there, Ben casually says, “Man, this would have been a great place to propose!” As the two laughed about that, he transitioned into proposing! Claire was absolutely surprised. Then out came the surprise champagne on the top of the mountain. It was the picture perfect proposal.
