Corrin & Sam

Sam and Corrin met almost 3 years ago on Bumble and the rest is history. They both had similar paths and upbringings, including growing up 2 miles from each other and attending Zeeland and Holland Christan high schools. Corrin had a gut feeling on their first date that he was the one. But she really fell in love with her husband a couple months after they met. Sam fit in well with her family, which was one of the top factors Corrin was looking for in a spouse. They cannot wait for this journey together and to see how they will grow with each other.

The Proposal

When Corrin and Sam had been dating for 2 years, she thought Sam was going to propose at their anniversary dinner at San Chez. When he didn’t that night, Corrin thought he would propose two days later when they closed on their new home. Corrin was wrong both times. The proposal came after they got done golfing 9 holes at Sam’s family’s golf course. Corrin went for a final putt and turned around to find Sam down on one knee! Afterwards Sam suggested they all stop at his mom’s house to show her the ring. When they arrived Corrin discovered Sam had planned a party with their family and closest friends. It was the perfect night!

The Day & Design

Corrin and Sam would describe their wedding as elegant and warm. They wanted their wedding to feel cozy. They tied the knot during the COVID pandemic, so their wedding went from a 200 person wedding to a much smaller guest list. However, they wouldn’t change a thing about their day. Corrin’s sister-in-law set up Zoom, so they had over 160 people join them virtually. They also had heaters outside, so that they could have a drive by with everyone that couldn’t be there due to the pandemic.

The Couple’s Advice

Don’t stress the small details. Nobody remembers what your centerpieces looked like or what their wedding favors were. Focus on having good music, good food and giving your guests a fun experience!
