Elena and Gilbert

Gilbert told Elena that he had made a reservation to celebrate their two year dating anniversary. After explaining that they had some time to kill before dinner, he drove Elena to the Ada Covered Bridge, the location of their first date. The couple went for a walk and as they made it to the opposite side of the bridge Gilbert pointed out to the water and said “Isn’t that where we skipped rocks?” As Elena turned to look out on the water she noticed their family and friends coming out from behind a tree. Elena was quite confused until she quickly turned back to Gilbert to find him waiting on one knee. After Elena accepted Gilbert’s proposal the couple gathered with their friends and family at a local restaurant to celebrate.

Elena described their wedding style as formal, yet simple. The bridesmaid dresses were long and the men’s tuxedos were refined in a conscious effort to simplify the decor.

“Keep it simple and let joy and love be more important than the details of the day. We made sure we got pedicures and went to the gym together to keep the stress low.”
