Ellie and Lucas

Although Ellie and Luke met 7 years ago at a basketball game it wasn’t until a trip to Ellie’s cottage that sparks really flew. Luke was entranced by Ellie’s smile, and Ellie was captivated by Lucas’ humor. After spending more and more time together Lucas realized that Ellie was the one for him.

THE PROPOSAL

Luke wanted the proposal to be a perfect day. After a day spent at Ellie’s favorite restaurant (Pumpernickels), in her favorite place (Saugatuck), Luke took Ellie down to the boardwalk to pop the big question. He asked Ellie to turn around so he could take a silhouette picture of her facing the water. When she turned back around he was down one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him.

THE DAY & DESIGN

The wedding was simple and elegant. The lush greenery of the venue complemented the wedding color scheme of blush, peach, and ivory. To make their special day even more special, the couple was married by Luke’s father.
