Lindsey & David
David and Lindsey first met while they were both attending college for our undergrad. They first became best friends and then ended up dating. After graduating they ended up going our separate ways for a while, living in different states and each doing their own thing. But they found their way back to one another, by the grace of God, and they couldn’t be happier that they did.
Their love story had twists and turns, bouts of long distance, and times when it wasn’t clear how everything would end up. But ultimately, Lindsey knew David was the one when she didn’t want to think about him not being a part of her life. They are looking forward to building a life and home together, and enjoying the simple everyday things.
The Proposal
David took Lindsey back to their college campus and sent her on a scavenger hunt to different locations that were meaningful in their relationship. Close friends were stationed at each location to give Lindsey a small gift from David and a clue to where the next spot was. The final location was in the woods and there was a red cord strung through the trees that led Lindsey back to a snowy clearing. The cord had over 40 photos that David had placed along it, each from a different memory they had together. At the clearing David finally proposed!
The Day & Design
Lindsey and David would describe their wedding style as elegant and vibrant. They had deep colors and many textures. A few unique details from their wedding were that David’s dad did their vows, their friends performed live music, and they had an incredible tiered wedding cake with a fountain that Lindsey’s grandmother made them.
The Couple’s Advice
Spend time on the parts of the wedding and reception that are meaningful to you, and don’t feel like you have to do something just because that’s the way other people do it.
