Tammi and Nate

Nate and Tammi were both involved in Greek Life at Central Michigan University. Their paths ultimately crossed when they both joined a large group of their sorority and fraternity members on Spring Break and they established a deep friendship.

The Proposal

Nate and Tammi had a tradition of going on walks after dinner. In May of 2016, Nate asked Tammi if she would like to take a walk around Reed’s Lake and have dinner at Rose’s after work. After walking around the lake the couple paused for a photo and as the sun was setting behind them Nate dropped down to one knee and proposed.

The Day & Design

The couple describe their wedding style as classy with touches of gold and green. Nate’s father built the beautiful doors used during the ceremony, and Tammi’s aunt and uncle walked flowers down the aisle in memory of her oldest sister.

The Couple’s Advice

“Try not to stress out on the big day. Everything that seemed so important during the planning stages just fades away. Do your best to get things done as early as possible so you aren’t running around the week before. Finally, book your wedding at Railside! Their staff was incredible and the whole day was so worry free. We had an amazing time celebrating!”
