Taylor and Daniel

Taylor knew Dan was “the one” after a weekend of weddings. Spending a weekend watching close friends promise “I do” convinced the couple forever was in their future. Dan proposed on a boat in a Rockford area lake. He had taken Taylor for a ride before anchoring the boat and giving her a map of the world. The map said “The Greer Family Map” on the top and was filled with important dates related to the couple’s relationship. Taylor opened the map, looked up, and saw Dan on his knee. They celebrated that evening with both of their families at the cottage.

Dan and Taylor described their summer outdoor wedding style as a “southern garden party.” It was simple and casual, yet classy with a little flair. They displayed an American flag behind their head table to showcase their love for the United States and also had a host of yard games for people to play.

Enjoy this time! It goes so fast. And don’t sweat the small details. Everything comes together in the end. Marriage is about a covenant, not about perfection.
